Did you buy right away?

stainless branding iron

Not immediately—we wanted to compare pricing with another company first.

How do you use it?

brand a wooden sticks

We brand hikers’ hinoki (Japanese cypress) walking sticks as proof of ascent. For guests without wooden sticks, we brand a small wooden board and sell it as a keepsake “branded tag.”

After Using It

Branding on wooden tag

We’d used branding irons before, but when our previous maker retired, we looked for a new supplier. We’re very satisfied—this iron captures finer design details than before.

Message to Anyone Considering It

The precision is excellent, faithfully reproducing even delicate lines. It heats evenly and holds temperature well, so stamping is easy. If you’re considering a branding iron, we highly recommend it.
